Goals by Size
Choosing the right size goals
The FA specify what size football goals should be used for different age groups. These are shown in our infographic here https://www.thesoccerstore.co.uk/blog/football-equipment/what-size-football-goals/
However, choosing a goal for your garden needs a little more consideration. For example, an eight-year-old would be using a 12 x 6ft goal in a club game under FA rules but there would be no use in buying a football goal this large if you only have a tiny garden.
Our advice at The Soccer Store is to consider the size of your garden first and then the age of your child second. Use some garden canes to scope out the size of the goal you are buying and how it will look in the space you have available. Discuss with your child to get their opinion and then you will be ready to buy your goal.
