The Mitre ball brand has been around since 1817. They were the first ball manufacturers to produce a synthetic match ball used by the football league and subsequently the first choice ball for the FA Cup Final. From the first leather footballs made in their tannery in Huddersfield to today’s high performance footballs Mitre have lead the way in technical innovation and design.
Mitre footballs have been used in the English Football League for over 25 years. The current ball is the new Mitre Delta V12 match ball. The Scottish Premier League and the Football Association of Wales also use a Mitre Ball.
The new V12 Match balls get the balance right with the number of panel used in construction. Too many panels will give the ball a stable shape but this means that the amount of stitching is increased. An increase in the amount of stitching can reduce the speed of the ball. Fewer panels will make the ball more aerodynamic, but this can be at the detriment of losing shape.
The new Mitre V12 footballs are constructed from just 12 panels, but the technological advances in design have resulted in optimum accuracy whilst retaining maximum power and speed. This is the best ball ever produced by Mitre for both goalkeepers and outfield players.
We have some great Mitre Football deals for packs of 10 balls. If you are looking for cheap mitre footballs then look no further.
MITRE BALL CARE AND PRESSURE.
Please take care when pushing the inflation needle in to the ball valve especially the first time the ball is inflated. If care is not taken the needle can damage the ball valve or bladder. Mitre recommends using Glycerine to allow the needle to be pushed in smoothly, (alternatively you can wet the needle with saliva). The inflation pressure of the ball will significantly affect its performance and durability. The correct pressure Is printed on the ball next to the valve. Pressure should be checked regularly as the ball will naturally lose air through its bladder over a period of time. A ball pressure gauge can be used for this.
